Abstract

Transcriptomic study of lung tissue from Newcastle disease Virus (NDV) infected Aseel chicken embryos revealed 135 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) with p-values < 0.05. Subsequent study found that NDV infection caused significant changes in four Gene Ontology (GO) terms and 19 Kyoto Encyclopaedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathways. Understanding these GO enriched terms and KEGG pathways in the context of NDV-infected embryo is critical for better understanding the disease molecular processes and metabolic disruptions. This understanding underlines the virus's effect on host metabolism and immunological responses, which may help identify treatment targets or vaccine development strategies.
