Abstract

This study was designed to assess the effect of Moringa oleifera seed meal on male quail reproductive system. 40 males aged 21 days were used for the study and data was collected at 77 days of age. Left and right testes weights were measured. Histology of the left testes was also viewed. There were no significant (P>0.05) differences in the weights of the left testes of the control group, 0.5%, 1.0% but weighed heavier at an inclusion level of 1.5%. The study indicated that there were no adverse effects on the male reproductive organ and thus fertility would not be compromised if the Moringa oleifera seed meal is used in diets.
